Thanks to the leadership of missionaries Adam Peterson and Jordan Thompson, and their team of local workers, our second operating theatre is progressing well. The roof was completed yesterday and we continue to draw closer to finishing this project.
The hydro project is also progressing well. The power house is nearing completion. Bill Wright – a missionary engineer with PowerQuest Global is here to install the turbines and help a group of mission volunteer electricians and linesmen with I-TEC (International Technical Electric & Construction) to replace every overhead wire and most of the poles on station.
The dam is completed and the gates are installed. The official opening with the Australian Aid donors, Incentive Fund, will be April 30th. Then the final details will be wrapped up to get us power flowing into our brand new power grid by the next month!
All along the way God has blessed us- providing for our needs, protecting us, helping us to serve His people here, and bringing people to Christ through the projects themselves and through the continued work of the hospital. We know a big part of that blessing and protection is the prayers of so many around the world. We pray that this work continues to help the hospital show many people the love of Christ in all that we do.
