It was a privilege to have Don Hunter, an American plumber, with us for nearly 8 months. He reminded us that as Christians we are to be servants. No job was too dirty or too small for Don- he dealt with sewage, dug ditches, mixed concrete, cut trees, helped with general maintenance, came early, stayed late, and played with small children after work. He was a great encouragement to all of us to do everyday things with love and dedication to Christ – not expecting thanks or reward but laying down our lives to serve. In fact when he was leaving one maintenance worker said that Don, and another recent volunteer, Tedd Sadauskas, an Australian farmer, had both really challenged him to do his best work no matter who was watching. We appreciate the many people who come and help out of dedication to Christ.
